Cub Scout Pack 512

About Us

About our Pack

We are a medium size Family Pack that meets in Blaine, MN, but we welcome all Scouts, male and female, from Kindergarten through 5th grades that want to join in the fun. Our leaders are all fully trained for their positions and in Youth Protection.  The leaders love to see how much our Scouts grow from year to year with what they learn in scouting.

Our Meetings

We hold 2 den meetings and 1 pack meeting a month where we focus on helping the Scouts earn activity loops and work on rank advancement.  We also try to schedule field trips monthly that go along with that month's goals.

During the summer we try to schedule in several fun activities for the Scouts to take part in and keep in touch with each other while earning the National Summertime Pack Award.

Annual Events

We hold a pack Pinewood Derby, after that the Scouts can compete in the District's Pinewood Derby in March.

In February we hold a Blue and Gold Banquet to celebrate scouting.

In June we hold our annual Campout and Graduation Ceremony.

Moving on UP
The big goal for all Cub Scouts is to move up to a Scouts BSA Troop so they can continue to learn about leadership, service, and keep making new friends.   Our Pack has good relationship with leaders of different Troops for our Cubs to continue their Scouting Adventure in a Troop that fits with their families and goals in life.

Retiring flags with Culver's
Bring your worn out flags to Culvers at 10550 Baltimore St NE, Blaine, MN
We have been working with Culvers for several years now retiring US flags.  We collect about 300 flags a year and hold several retirement ceremonies at our Pack outings.  Thank you everyone for your support on this project.  We look forward to more retirement ceremonies and collecting more flags.
Giving Back
Every year our scouts participate in various service projects.  Some of these include Scouting for Food, Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army, and Feed My Starving Children. Whenever the Scouts go on a camping trip or hike they are reminded to leave the area cleaner then when they arrived.

Outdoor Activity Award & National Summertime Activity Award
Our Pack has a great tradition of earning the National Summertime Activity Award.  It is wonderful to see our Scouts have plenty of time with their families in the summer but still have time to have fun with their scouting families.
