We are currently looking for volunteers to help out
the pack as Tiger Den Leader and Assistant- (plan and lead the den meetings
2-3 times per month, Secretary (keep
track of an excel spreadsheet with the scout names and addresses, Facilities Coordinator (contact the
school and once in awhile other sites to schedule meeting rooms or camping), Advancement Coordinator (able to use
Scouttrack easily, downloads and shops for awards and organizes them to be
handed out at the pack meetings) and Outdoor Coordinator (Scout trained in
outdoor activities and camping). Talk to
your den leader if you are interested and they will forward you to the right
person to talk to.
This year the boys will be
selling Wreaths, Holiday Items and Popcorn.
Each Scout will receive a Red fundraising folder. Inside the front pocket of the folder is an
information sheet that explains all of the due dates and sales goals for the
boys. If your son reaches his pack goal
of $350 in sales then a percentage of his profits above the $350 (see parent
handbook) will go into a scout account for him to use at Council, District,
Pack or Den activities or Scout related purchases. If you have any questions contact your den
leader or Paula Scrabeck (763) 862-3650.
At www.ScoutTrack.com we subscribe to a web
tool that allows us to track and report the boys’ achievements online. We are asking all parents to visit the website
and keep track of all current and future achievements there. Your den leader may be updating some den
activities, but as a parent you are ultimately in charge of keeping track of
your boys’ achievements. This is a quick
way to keep track, but more importantly an efficient way to communicate their
achievements to our advancement coordinator so they will receive the
appropriate awards at the pack gatherings.
Please update ScoutTrack by the Friday before each pack meeting to make
sure your son will receive the awards he has earned.
When you visit the
sight: You need to have a User ID and
Password. If you have given us your
e-mail address we have entered it into ScoutTrack and you will be sent an ID
and Password along with an invitation to visit the site. If you did not receive an ID and Password
please give your den leader your e-mail address again and we will get one set
up for you. If you received an ID and
Password with an invitation to use the site but have lost or misplaced it
please let us know and we will ask Scouttrack to send you the information.
What if we don’t have
internet access???? There are 2 options. #1
Prepare a list of the achievements your son has completed and ask your
den leader or another parent in your den who is designated to enter them
online. Or, #2 at
any Public Library you can go to the web site.
Ask the librarian to help you open the internet program and type in the
web address. http://www.ScoutTrack.com. Then, click on
the button in the upper right corner that says Log in. Enter your name and password (password twice)
and click OK. From the next
screen your son’s name should be listed and you can click on the links for his
achievements, electives or belt loops and pins.
There is a quick entry button that shows a shortened version of
the activities. This is much quicker to enter achievements in. Type in the date once and every square you
click after that will put the same date in there. Bring your book you will need to enter the
dates for each activity.
Remember! Hit the Save button before you leave a
page! When you are done, press Log out.
